SERVICES

LAN TEK is located in Southern California. Installations in this area are estimated on a per job basis and do not include travel and subsistence. Outside this are we reserve the option of including travel time and per diem. Prices are higher on holidays and after regular business hours.
 
Site evaluations are made in most cases when KVM switching or other hardware is being considered. The evaluation includes a detailed drawing of the switch system or overhead view of the data center layout. Positions of enclosures, open racking, HVAC and other hardware are shown. Depending upon the scope of the project these drawings are usually supplied at no cost and as part of the hardware proposal. Open racking drawings usually show the equipment to scale on the rack to insure the hardware will fit the space allowed.

KVM switch installations also include informal instruction on the operation of the system and answer any specific questions. Prior to our arrival for this installation the customer must have all electrical, cabling and racking installed. LAN TEK must have access to all raised flooring. A suitable work area and desk should be made available. All network connections should be in place. At least several servers/computers must be available to demonstrate the system. 

Another Lan Tek job done! Scheduling is usually done 20 or more days in advance. Changes or cancellations are done without cost 14 days before the scheduled installation at LAN TEK's option. If out of the area travel is required there may be additional charges.
Our normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM PST excluding holidays. Prices are higher on holidays and after regular business hours.
All services are invoiced upon completion of the service unless other arrangements are made in advance. 

Product returns must have an RMA issued by LAN TEK. Any exchanged products will be fist billed and then credited when LAN TEK receives a credit from the supplier.
